Q: How do I make a reservation on JetAir flights to Hassi Messaoud?

Q: I need a hotel room or connecting flight?

Q: Where do I check in at London Gatwick Airport?
A: JetAir operates flights from the South Terminal. We have dedicated desks in Zone “J or K”.
Q: Where do I check in at Madrid Barajas Airport?
A: JetAir operates from Terminal 4. We have dedicated check in desks between 908 and 909.
Q: When does check in open and close and what time do the flights depart?

Q: What is the hold baggage allowance?
A: Two bags can be checked in. No one bag must weigh more than 30 kgs.
Q: Is there a charge for Excess Baggage?
A. Yes there is. If you have a requirement to carry more bags please contact our Customer Service department customerservice@jetair.co.uk or + 44 (0)1293 566010. Excess Baggage will be charged at GBP30.00 per bag and must be prearranged and prepaid.
Q: What is the hand baggage allowance?
A: Two pieces with a maximum weight of 7 kgs each. Maximum size: 56 x 45 x 25 cms.
They should be able to fit in the overhead locker or under the seat in front of you.
Q: I need to ship larger/heavier items to Hassi Messaoud.

Q: Do I need travel insurance?
A: It is strongly recommended that you have adequate insurance to cover your trip.
Q: What documents do I need for travel to Hassi Messaoud?
A: You will need a current passport valid for a minimum of 6 months after the date of your return flight and a valid Algerian visa or a right of residency in Algeria. Please note not all nationalities need a visa. WE STRONGLY RECOMMEND YOU CHECK YOUR DOCUMENTS ARE IN ORDER BEFORE YOU TRAVEL.
If transiting through Madrid, (Spain is a Schengen state) visa requirements may apply. Your travel provider should be able to advise you.
If transiting through London, UK visa requirements apply. The UK also has a 24 hour visa waiver system which some nationalities may be eligible to use. Your travel provider should be able to advise you on the exact requirements before you book your flights.
Landing documentation will be distributed on board and our Flight Manager will be happy to assist if you require help in completing the forms.
Q: What in-flight services are provided?
A: Films, newspapers, magazines, complimentary drinks, hot meal service, snack pack to take away with you and tax free goods. If you have a special meal request please contact customerservice@jetair.co.uk at least 48 hours prior to departure. This meal preference can be held on your personal profile so there is no need to re -order every time you travel.
Q: Are JetAir staff present on board the aircraft?
A: Yes all JetAir flights have a dedicated Flight Manager on board who is solely there to assist passengers and is on hand to answer any questions.
Q: What is the procedure for laptops and laptop batteries when flying with JetAir?
A: It is a requirement of the UK Department of Transport that all laptop batteries and laptops are carried onboard the aircraft. Therefore please ensure that you carry your laptop as hand baggage. Laptops are not allowed in the hold, or checked baggage.
Note - When departing from Hassi Messaoud, it is no longer a requirement that batteries be removed from laptops.
Q: When returning to Madrid Airport where do I collect my bags?
A: In the main building (T4) lounge 11.
Q: Are JetAir staff available if I need assistance at the airport?
A: Yes should you need any assistance we have staff available at all departure and arrival airports and also on board the aircraft.
Q: Can I check in on-line?
A: No. Currently passengers need to check-in at the desks in the airport where travel documentation is checked, seats are allocated and boarding cards are issued.
